Atlantic lobsters (often called Maine lobsters or American lobsters) is caught in the pristine cold North Atlantic. Boasting sweet, delicate tender white flesh and a generous meat-to-shell ratio – is one of the world’s most indulgent food experiences.
Atlantic lobsters are found on the cold Atlantic coast of North America. The cold waters of the Atlantic results in a silkier, sweeter flesh that is very tender.
In Canada, the fishery is regulated by stringent catching and handling regulations to ensure the catch arrives at its destination in peak condition. A strict catch policy ensures under-sized lobsters are returned to the ocean, while a system of limited licenses, boats and pot numbers helps avoid over-fishing.
Live lobster season is from October to May, and frozen cooked lobster is available year round. With 600,000 lbs live lobster holding facility in Port Mouton, Nova Scotia we are committed to providing both high quality live and processed lobster products.
